WARRANTY GUIDELINES
|
|
The part must be installed within 30 days from delivery date in accordance with
the guidelines and warranty validation procedures contained in this document. At
our discretion, Woodfins will repair, replace, or provide a refund for any defective
part to the original purchaser, assuming all warranty guidelines have been followed.
|
|
WOODFINS LIMITED PART WARRANTIES
|
Subject to the limitations below, all of our parts come with a 90 day warranty.
Woodfins expressly warrants to the original purchaser from the date of purchase
against the failure of the part due to defects in Woodfins materials or workmanship
(a defective part).
- One (1) and Three (3) Year Limited Part Warranty coverages and a One (1) Year
Limited Labor Warranty can be added for an additional charge. Prices vary depending
on part purchased and length of coverage.

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED,
TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, AND TO THE TIME PERIOD COVERED BY THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY.
If the purchaser complies with the terms of this warranty, Woodfins will repair
or replace a defective part without additional shipping cost to you. Woodfins may,
at its discretion, provide a refund equal to the price paid for the part in lieu
of repair or replacement of the part. The foregoing is the only, sole and exclusive
remedy under the terms of this warranty.

Exclusions
|
- Incidental or consequential damages including, but not limited to, damage to or
the cost of related parts, loss of income, storage fees, travel expenses, loss of
transportation, towing fees, rental vehicles or diagnostics are not covered by this
warranty.
- Parts installed in vehicles used for fleet or commercial purposes are not covered
by this warranty.
- Parts installed in vehicles that are raced or used off-road are not covered by this
warranty.
- Parts installed in vehicles with modifications, including but not limited to the
installation of parts not originally intended for the vehicle by its manufacturer,
are not covered by this warranty.
- This warranty does not cover damage or failure arising directly or indirectly from
improper installation (not in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer’s
specifications) or related vehicle problems, misuse, maintenance, neglect, abuse,
overheating, vandalism, abnormal operation, environmental conditions, accident or
any damage which was apparent and not reported at the time of delivery.

General Limitations
|
- This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
You must be able to provide an original receipt in your name for the warranty claim
to be considered.
- Any repairs or removal of the part not authorized by Woodfins will void the warranty.
- We reserve the right to have the part inspected to insure that all pertinent provisions
of this warranty have been met prior to any replacement, repair, or refund.
- THIS WARRANTY IS NULL AND VOID IF:
- Failures are caused by non-covered components, improper installation, failure to
clear computer codes, defective workmanship, usage for which the part was not intended
and/or improper maintenance (e.g. using the incorrect types and levels of fluids
and lubricants, as specified by the vehicle manufacturer).
- Product is installed in an application for which the vehicle manufacturer did not
intend it.
- Failure is caused by towing a trailer or other vehicle unless your vehicle is equipped
for this purpose as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
- d. Product is installed
or operated outside of the United States.
- e. Failure is caused by or related to a collision, fire, theft, vandalism, riot,
explosion, lightning, earthquake, windstorm, hail, water, freezing, flood or any
other Act of God.
- f. Failure is caused by neglect, abuse, misuse, racing (whether on road or off-road),
or modifications to the vehicle.
- g. There is evidence that the vehicle was continually operated after a failure occurred.
- h. The heat tabs are missing, tampered with, melted, misplaced, or otherwise not
as originally installed.
- This part may have accessories that are attached, and must be switched or removed
to accommodate proper installation, which is the responsibility of the installer.
Such accessories are not covered by this warranty.
- This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other
rights, which vary from state to state.
- Woodfins does not authorize any person to create for it any obligation or liability
in connection with this warranty.

Limitations for Specific Parts
|
|
This warranty is limited to defects in the actual part ordered. All other parts
that may be provided are considered “accessories and extra parts”. No warranty is
provided for any such parts that are attached, including, but not limited to, solenoids,
injectors (including diesel injectors), switches, sensors, cables, electronics,
belts, hoses, water pumps or manifolds.

WARRANTY VALIDATION PROCEDURES
|
|
To validate the warranty on this part, installation must be completed within 30
days of delivery date and the work indicated below must be performed and documented
at time of installation. Upon initiating a warranty claim, you will be required
to provide receipts for installation and parts required to validate the warranty.
Maintenance receipts and other documentation may be requested as part of the warranty
claim process.

Engines: At the time of installation, follow the procedures below:
|
- Replace the following with new parts:
timing belt (if applicable. If timing chain engine, do not replace), water pump,
thermostat, spark plugs, fluids, front crankshaft seal, rear main seal, oil pan
gasket, and oil filter.
- Ensure oil and other fluids are filled to the proper levels with correct fluid types
according to the vehicle manufacturer's guidelines.
- Flow-check the radiator and replace if necessary.
- Install engine in accordance with vehicle manufacturer’s guidelines, including any
current Technical Service Bulletins that apply.

After installation:
- Change the oil after the first 600 miles and then once every 3,000 - 5,000 miles
thereafter.
- Service the vehicle at proper intervals in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s
guidelines
|
|
Transmissions (Automatic): At the time of installation, follow the procedures below:
|
- Replace the following with new parts:
front pump seal, output shaft seal(s), pan gasket, and filter (where applicable).
If no filter exists, screen must be cleaned thoroughly.
- Replace or flush cooler and lines in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s
guidelines, including any current Technical Service Bulletins that apply.
- Fill transmission / transaxle to the proper level using correct fluids in accordance
with the vehicle manufacturer's guidelines.
- Reset computer codes.
- Adjust shifter mechanisms.

After installation:
- Change transmission fluid at proper intervals in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s
guidelines
|
|
Transmissions (Manual): At the time of installation, follow the procedures below:
|
- Replace the following with new parts:
external seals, clutch, pressure plate, release bearing.
- Replace or flush cooler and lines in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s
guidelines, including any current Technical Service Bulletins that apply.
- Fill transmission / transaxle to the proper level using correct fluids in accordance
with the vehicle manufacturer's guidelines.
- Adjust shifter mechanisms.

After installation:
- Change transmission fluid at proper intervals in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s
guidelines
|
|
Axle Assemblies and Transfer Cases: At the time of installation, follow the procedures
below:
|
- Replace the following with new parts:
seals and cover gasket, where applicable
- Fill fluids to the proper level using correct fluids in accordance with vehicle
manufacturer’s guidelines.
- All tires on the vehicle must be the same size, brand, make, model and tread depth.
|
|
ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED LABOR WARRANTY
|
|
If you have purchased the One (1) Year Limited Labor Warranty and your part is originally
installed by an ASE-certified facility, and the above stated work is performed at
time of installation, Woodfins will provide a One (1) Year Limited Labor Warranty
from the date of original purchase, subject to the terms, exclusions, general and
specific limitations of our Limited Part Warranty. Labor reimbursement will be in
accordance with the original installation hourly rate and labor hours incurred,
not to exceed the rate of $55.00 per hour and not to exceed the applicable hours
schedule for the work performed as published in the Mitchell Repair Manual or AllData
labor specifications at our discretion. Labor reimbursement amount not to exceed
original part price.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
|
- You may return a part for refund or exchange within thirty (30) days from delivery
date, provided that the part has not been installed and is returned in the same
condition as provided to you.
- To initiate a return or exchange, please contact a Woodfins Customer Care Representative
at 1-888-883-4466 to obtain return authorization. Returns not authorized or arranged
by Woodfins will not be accepted or refunded.
- Upon installation of your part within 30 days of delivery, any requests for a return
or exchange are subject to Woodfins warranty policy and must be processed through
our Warranty Department by calling 1-888-883-4466.
- Shipping and handling are non-refundable on cancelled, returned or exchanged product(s).
These fees will be refunded when a return or exchange is due to Woodfins providing
an incorrect part (not matching the part ordered) or a defective part. Additional
shipping charges that were applied for parts shipped to non-standard delivery locations
or to locations outside the continental U.S. are also not refundable.

CORE CHARGES
|
|
Some products have a core charge associated with them. A core is some portion of
a non-working part that can be recycled or reused by the recycling industry. Doing
this helps our environment and helps keep the cost of recycled parts low. For these
reasons a product with a core has an additional charge associated with it. The core
charge will be refunded if a customer returns their old part to Woodfins in suitable
condition for recycling the core. Please note: It is the customer's responsibility
to pay any shipping cost associated with shipping a core back to Woodfins. When
returning a core please perform the following: Empty all fluids from the core, write
your purchase order number on your shipment and securely ship to the following address:
